Rewaj Chettri, 28 is the Founder and CEO of NE Taxi which understands customers’ expectations and creates memorable travel experiences in North-East India and Bhutan. Rewaj is a graduate of Forestry from North-Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Arunachal Pradesh India. He is also one of the few TEDx Speakers from North-East India.
Rewaj created a history by being the first ever person from North-East India to be listed in the prestigious FORBES list. He is an honoree of Forbes Asia 30 under 30 2018.
He has won several awards including Sikkim’s Highest Civilian Award 2018 for his entrepreneurship work in the field of tourism. Currently, his community Sikkim Entrepreneur’s Hub is working in building startup ecosystem in the region.
The North Eastern tourism sector is mostly centered on the culture due to the large number of ethnic groups available, nevertheless there are also rainforest, savannah, waterfalls, attractions, national parks, and much more. A large part of the sector is undergoing development.
